My secret it out! Told my bosses about IVF!
Phew.....what a relief....I finally told my 2 bosses that we are doing IVF! I feel soooo relieved right now. They were great, really supportive and really encouraging and I could not have asked for it to go better. Of course they both knew someone who went through it and shared their stories. I was a little worried they would think I'm nuts at my age for doing this, but they said I was still young and to go for it! I just feel like so much pressure has been taken off of me now, that I can breathe a bit easier now and not feel like I have to come up with any excuses. I stressed that this was so private and to please please not share with anyone in the office and they assured me they would keep it quiet. I am however concerned that I talked a bit too loud, and my boss' door isn't soundproof so who knows if anyone heard me or not. I told myself I would try and talk quietly but once I got started, i was soooooo nervous that I know I was speaking loud. Oh well, nothing I can do now!

Yay! I knew they would understand. Its funny how we try to keep it quiet for so long and then once we finally tell them, its like why the heck did I not do this MONTHS ago. It really does make leaving for apts less stressful and makes everything so much easier to deal with. Now you do not have to worry about your job on top of your IVF!

It\'s understandable why you wanted to guard your privacy for so long, but I\'m glad you were finally able to get up the courage and tell them, and that they were so positive! Hopefully that makes the journey easier for you!
YAY for a great meeting! I love that they both knew others who went through it. It makes me wonder how it\'s so taboo if everybody knows somebody who\'s done it. You are so right that you feel so much less pressure, and it\'ll make you feel better about yourself instead of feeling guilty for constantly being sick, or having an appt, headache, the runs, etc. Hopefully nobody else heard, and if they did, they better keep it to themselves! Glad they were supportive! That is so important! My boss was quasi-supportive. She asked questions and said she was supportive, but then kept bringing up adoption and seeing if \"taking a break\" would do the trick...all those lovely cliches that we hate so much. Glad you fared better!
