My quick Christmas "Life is Good" post
Life is good because...
it's snowing...
it's 10 degrees WARMER in the upper elevations (with blue sky) than it is at the house with gray sky, but hey - it's SNOWING...
the hiking trail to Roughlock Falls was good though my sniffles only let me get 1/4 of the way there...
someone had decorated one of the pine trees on the trail with ornaments and garland, and next to it, I saw the BIGGEST wasps nest (size of a soccer ball - SO COOL!)...
I bought myself a Christmas present out there at the resort - a huge Gingerbread Man with a baker's hat on him for only $7.50...
My friends called while I was out there (no cell reception out there) and left a voice mail inviting me to Christmas dinner with them but I declined because I still have a few sniffles to get rid of.
Someone had hiked up the mountain closest to my house and rigged up a Christmas Star which is in the East that I saw when I woke up at 5am (in the dark) this morning.
I just typed SNIGGLES instead of sniffles and busted out laughing because I like that word better, lol.
I'm about to start cooking a ham and am already drooling thinking about all the leftovers....
And that chocolate cake that my son dropped off yesterday is HEAVENLY....
My favorite ski trail is CLOSED for the WINTER due to LOGGING, which means I have to do different exercises to keep fit, but that means I'll be FITTER for the bike race...
And we now have a winter weather advisory for tomorrow and Tuesday.... COOL! That means the OTHER ski trail should be excellent for New Years and I better be over my cold by then, lol....
Have a great Christmas everyone!
