My puppy
Sadly, I was playing with my puppy (Sophie) last night and we got a little carried away and she fell off the couch. This has happened dozens of times before, except this time she yelped and started limping. My daughter kept saying she would be okay, but today she was still limping; she was putting some pressure on it. Well against my daughter’s wishes, but with the encouragement of my son, I called the vet and we took her in. Thankfully we did take her. I don’t remember what he called it but it was basically he felt her knee and it had popped out of its socket. So he put it back in and checked the rest of her leg. So for 10 days she has an anti-inflammatory and we need to put ice on it 3 times a day for 10 to 20 minutes; as well she must rest and no playing, jumping or long walks. Back to what it was like just a couple of weeks ago after her surgery. Needless to say when we got home my daughter was being snotty and said I was right there was nothing wrong. So after a long explanation and a slight pissed tone my daughter has gone sulking to her friend next door.
Thankfully, a family member could cover the cost of the vet until next Friday, because I am broke. It would have been horrible for her to have to wait another week. I have had so many things go wrong lately with money and as I am on disability I never have any extra. I really want to try and build up a bit of money for emergencies like this with Sophie. Why do some of us always seem to have the shit piling up and can never get anywhere and this just makes me more worried for October. I was hoping to save a little for then too.

I hope Sophie gets better soon hugs friend you did the right thing
Your daughter will get over it. Mystie, you do the best you can. If I hear of any ways to make money at home I\'ll let us know.
Lastly, I hope Sophie feels better. I bet she\'d already 100%.
I\'m so sorry! Yes, things seem to hit at bad times..We save a little and poof it\'s gone.
Hugs to Sophie to feel better soon...
I am so sorry to hear about Sophie. I sure she fully gets to be OK. I know what you mean about money. Just when we got caught up onn Marilyns medical bills, all hell broke loose with my medical issues. We are on Social Security only and that alone is tough enough!
Oh my goodness, Mystie I hope with all my heart she won\'t need surgery!!!
Just maybe, they will have some other way to keep it in place though I\'m not at all familiar with those types of injuries. Surgery would be hard on her but more so on you I\'d think. With her being so young, I imagine it will be hard to keep her calmed down while she recovers. Young dogs are so full of energy and curiousity!!
Really hope with all my heart things work out for her!!!
Vet bills are about as bad as dr. bills for humans:(:(:(
I wish and pray that everything will be well.... take it easy yourself.... hugs
poor sophie just badluck no ones fault i hope she si feeling better ................i am sure your daughter will be fine to they realy bounce back .................you are blesed to have such good family menbers ..................take care of your self .......god bless
Thank you everyone for the well wishes!
Sadly she does not appear to be healing. Her kneecap(patella) keeps popping out. We\'ve been putting back in just to have it pop back out. We call the vet next Tuesday to find out the next step. I\'m terrified if she has to have surgery. I\'ve read people paid between $1500-3500. It would take me months to build that amount up. Two people including my mother said we should put her down. I think that is cruel and upsetting. she is only 10 months old and we love her death.
Thank you again everyone!
I\'m sorry about your doggie. Maybe her leg could be wrapped somehow to keep it in place so it can heal. It\'s something to ask the vet about.
IM SO VERY SORRY SWEETIE I SURE HOPE SHE DOESN\'T NEED SURGERY I KNOW HOW MUCH YOU LOVE HER - I\'M WITH YOU..(((LUV U)))..
Thank you foreveralone and angel!! Yes, I should ask about wrapping it and angel you are right I love her so much. I hate seeing her in pain and limping.
