My Poor Car
Left my house on a Friday morning looking forward to all the wonderful things I was going to do that day, but I needed cash, so, reluctantly, I stopped at the bank first. I haven't been to the bank since last fall. Walked in, one teller on duty waiting on some chatty yahoo I didn't know. I hardly know anyone around where I live, lived there 30 years, that was my husband's department. He could talk to some guy, whose name he couldn't remember, for a half an hour and come away knowing the guy's life story. Who was that? I'd ask. He'd say, I don't know his right name, he used to drive truck for so-and-so...by then I quit listening. This guy in front of me was doing the same thing. I was the only other person in the bank. I waited 20 minutes, they have a big clock on the wall, ticktock already, time's awastin'. Teller seemed to enjoy listening to the claptrap though. Took me 30 seconds to cash my check and get out of there.
Got into the car and said a prayer that it would start when I turned the key. Sometimes it doesn't, just makes a click. If it keeps making a click, I have to get out and give it a push. Turned the key and it started but the brake pedal went to the floor. Now what. Put it in gear and drove around the block, no brakes. It is a steep hill from the bank to my house no matter which route I take. Used the E brake. E brake really doesn't slow the car that much on a hill like that. Aaaaaaahhhhhh...took my foot off the clutch it slowed right down...ha haaaaa...what a dummy I am!
Called my oldest son. Boo hoo...brake line...wah wah wah. He came over and cut and bent the brake line, it still leaked. Called the local mechanic guy. Next Wednesday he said, got a lot of work but if he gets a break he'll call me sooner. Calls Sunday, drop it off Monday. I drop it off and walk home. He gets it done Wednesday, I pick it up and use it to drive to the pharmacy on Saturday. Sunday morning I pull it out of the garage and notice a puddle on the floor. Pull the car in and look under it, brake fluid is dripping from the exact same spot as before. Text my youngest son to let him know where I keep my accidental death insurance policy.

I am surprised this mechanic did not find that there was still a leak...sorry...that sucks
Why things have become so complicated, I don\'t know. I often think, why don\'t people just do what they are expected to do the first time. Oh well, there might have been a divine reason you were held up. Many hugs!
Aw thanks for your concern and the indignation over it. It\'s just a stupid car. I\'ll get another one. Hopefully all four wheels will turn the same way at the same time. The absurdity of life is inevitable. One can\'t help but stand in awe of it. All the world\'s a stage, etc.
