My Pity party
So I get a call from the Drs office about blood work and of course my fasting sugar was high (not surprised) have only been taking metformin for 3 and a half weeks and only been taking 2 pills for a week.Im guessing it takes time and this is frustrating me,because I hate pills and it took me 3 months to work up to taking it and now I just want it to work.On top of that he wants to talk about a med for my cholesterol.if its not one thing its another and I am still trying to figure out what to eat as far as the sugars go so now I have to find foods that wont jack up the cholesterol.
Im am so completely over it already....Dr says eat fruits and vegetables.Im sorry but I cant live mt life only eating fruit and veggies....Kinda boring after awhile. Its frustrating to eat because everythign that goes in my mouth is going to raise something.>...

I do not know you, but I like you. You have my support. I am sorry that you do not like your fruits and vegetables. I LOVE my fruits and vegetables. Are you getting the fresh kind from the farmer\'s market? Fruits helps my cravings for sweets. Anyway, am supporting you. Good luck in your struggle.
Thank you and its not that i dont like them its that after awhile I get bored with them....When you have to eat one way for the cholesterol and one way for the Diabetes it gets confusing....
I\'ve found that if I can stay away from sugar and consciously work at eating well balanced meals that my blood sugar stays under control. Of course I also have to watch my portion size and when I snack I try to eat only fruit. It\'s harder now that the weather is cooling and fresh fruits are not as available or as desirable as they were during the summer. It\'s hard to get used to watching everything you eat...when I was first diagnosed with diabetes I took the meds for the first year and ignored watching my diet. Now I\'m working at it, but it took me a while to accept my situation. I know how frustrating it is....and given a little time I\'m sure you\'ll work it out. Take care
Thank you Valerie.I am gonna work it out somehow. It just that my Dr says eat more fruits but they do run my sugars up,especialy bananas. It os all very frustrating and the metformin doesnt seem to be making a big difference but it hasnt been quite a month yet and I just started taking 2 last week.....
