My parents
My parents adopted me when I was I think 3 days old and they are my mom and dad. 2 summers ago they were killed in a car wreck. I remember a police man came to my house with child services and told my sitter to go home and they told me I will be going with them cuz my parents were in a bad car wreck and they won't be coming home. I was 10 yo at that time. I was put in an emergency foster home for I think 3 days before they told me I can go stay with my uncle. No one told me anything about my parents in the foster home. They just said I can't go home yet and they don't know the details of what's going on. When I got with my uncle I asked him what's going on and he said he will tell me at home. When we got home he said we will go to my house and get my stuff in a few days he already had my cat Max. I asked why do I need to get ALL my stuff and he said mom and dad isn't coming back home. He said they were hit by a semi truck and killed. I remember losing my everything I screamed I hit things and my uncle I threw things I lost my mind. I still don't think I recovered from all that even though I had therapy for almost a year from all that. I lost it at their funeral too I'm officially an orphan at 10 yo I will never forget seeing my mommy and daddy in the caskets that's my last ill ever be with them I still can't believe they died. I try to think they're out there somewhere on government missions or something but I know the truth. I'm sorry if this was to sad for you but it hurt a lot writing it thought you should know what happened to them

You were very brave with what you just wrote! This is why DS is here......so we can talk about our trauma's to others who understand what we are going through. That's how we heal. Your presence here is also helping others. You give us strength to speak about the unspeakable things we have buried deep inside us, so thankyou for being here!
God Bless
Thank you it was hard writing it I cried through most of it cuz I was seeing it too as I was writing it I don't think my mind ever fully healed after that but I'm here
They said the semi truck driver fell asleep and he didn't stop in time before hitting them kind of makes me wish i was with them so I don't have to feel all this
I'm so sorry about the loss of your parents. I can't imagine the pain you've felt since their passing. My heart goes out to you. Thank you for sharing your story with us. As Bob said, your bravery is helping others who are in similar situations. We are all here for you! Hugs.
Like Bob, honey you are So Brave and So Strong. Please Please don't Ever Apologize for something you write in your journal! This is your space to write what ever you want!!
Losing your parents at such a young age On Top Of being adopted to me is like a Double Whammy of loss...not knowing your birth parents, and loosing your adopted parents.
One thing I know For Sure is they are in Heaven sending you so much love and still watching over you despite not being on earth to give you the physical comfort you so need.
I'm glad your uncle is able to keep you, so at least you are with family. I would think the foster home parents were told not to tell you anythibng...so many rules and regulations to follow being fosters.
I will never know How You Feel, I can only respond from my life experience. My Dad died when I was 3. My Mom did re-marry, but he was Never a Dad. To this day I often wonder what my life would have been like if he'd lived. I felt angry with him too because he was drunk and broke his neck. in a fall.
I have cried So Many Tears......the way I look at my tears today is they 'clear my eyes so I can see in a different way, and wash away the pain in my heart....So Cry those healing tears, it's all in the process to heal grief, which is in Your Time, no one elses.
I've lost all my Birth Family, and I've found over the years the pain lessens, never really goes away, but I can smile thinking of them and the fun times we shared. I can see their faces and hear their voices in my head.
Your life is so precious, as you are, and Bob is right, as you share, you will be helping others by your strength....I've survived a lot, and no doubt will survive much more....to me the hard times are all learning experiences and I just get stronger and stronger with each life challenge.
Hugs to you!! Peace and Healing 'in your time' ml
Thank you it's been super hard all I have is my uncle and my grandparents
Omg that's terrible. I can't imagine not having someone to be there for me. My case my mama was there for me through it all. You're a trooper girl and you can get through anything. You have been through so much in life so far. You deserve a huge break in life.
