My own personal revolutionary road.
2 am Saturday morning. January 24, 2009 I came home to find my wife sleeping. I bent over her on the bed to give her a kiss, wet with our 5 month old beagle/cocker's slober on my nose and yes, my mouth. Lizzie yawned a smile at me with an incoherant grumble. Choosing to hear what I wanted, I heard her say, "welcome home my prince". I replied, "it is good to be home". I haven't truly thought that in years. As i watched my wife with the glow of our turtle night light, I noticed her eyes still half mass as she fought to stay in her dream state. She was somehow successful in catching Mia's paws before they pried her eyelids open while prancing on the bed happy to see her papa. At that moment I felt my heart connect with my smile. It is great to be home! Good Night!
