My New Year Resolution

Wow...it's really 2011!!  Well a new year calls for new changes for me!!  I have decided that I want to change ME and stop trying to change everyone else!!  And by that, I mean, I need to be there for myself first...I've realized that so often I'm caught up in my family and whatever drama or issues they are having that I forget that my health is delicate and I can't have unnecessary stress added on top ofmy life!!  Sometimes, I feel as if everyone around me forgets or either just don't care that I am not the person I was before LUPUS...and it gets so frustrating!!   Perfect example...I decided that I would start a tradition that Christmas dinner be at my house every year so my lil boy could be at home to open presents and not visiting somewhere.  I've done this for 2yrs now and each time, I'm the one in the kitchen doing all of the cooking!!  And when I say all..I mean ALL!!  I was in so much pain this yr I thought my head was about to explode and I was gonna drop dead right there in front of my pot of gumbo!!  But did anyone help...no, they just all sat around waiting for me to finish!!  Oh well, enough about that!!
So I have decided that for me, in order to be healthy, I'm eliminating all things that cause me stress or don't bring positivity to my life!!  So no more listening to one family member gossip about another and no more trying to solve everyoe elses problems....today, I vow to put ME first and make myself happy!!
