My new job, a huge blessing.
I got a new job, to help take care of an elderly gentleman who has Altzheimers. I was interviewed by 2 of his sons, and they told me that their mother is a difficult, moody old lady. They advised me to "grow a thick skin" in order to deal with her. I was so anxious and stressed up about this job, that I had diarrea for 2 days.
Well, I started my new job on Friday. The family live on a huge farm, and they are all very kind. The "moody" old lady turned out to be a woman in deep emotional pain! The first time I saw tears in her eyes, after she made a few harsh remarks, I walked up to her and hugged her tight. I told her that it is okay to let the pain inside her come out. Then she started  crying, and she hugged me back! Since that moment we have been sharing lots of our inner hurt and pain. She is also a sincere child of God, and I am sure that we will be friends for the rest of our lives!!
Tonight she went to bed with a happy smile on her face! And tomorrow, for the first time in months, she can go to church again, because I will be caring for her sick husband. Wow, I am needed once again, and I can make a positive difference in someone's life!!
