My new 'happy place'.

It started when my son brought home a bird feeder, that he only bought to support and old man who was making and selling them. Eventually he fixed the feeder to the wire fence outside, and bought some wild bird seeds. 
Now our small back yard is my very own 'happy place'!! I sit there quietly, watching the different birds interact with each other, eating and chirping. I almost become one with nature! One dove even walks into the living room and pecks at the food that my son's bird spills from his cage!! As long as I stay still, the dove walks past me, looks at me (to check my reaction, I guess), and seems quite at home inside the living room! The other day this dove brought a friend along, and both birds seemed to enjoy the seeds from the bird cage. 
I can almost feel Colleen's presence here! She loved watching the birds sit outside her bedroom window. And when they pecked at the window, she laughed with pure joy and excitement!! I found a special little world where I can almost be with my precious angel Colleen, once again .............
