My neighbor

Today I am off from work so I decided to sleep a little longer, I live in a very quiet street, around 8am I hear a big thump and my neighbor screaming.  I got out to see what happened my poor neighbor was on the floor, she is 75 years old!  The ice is very slippery and she fell feet first her back completly in the floor.  Her daughter came rushing to try to pick her up, but we, by then other neighbors were around her also, insisted the lady couldn't be picked up, that she needed to wait for the emt to arrive.  She did, and the ambulance came soon enough, but I bet for the lady it took an eternity.  It is cold and laying there in top of the ice must have been scary.  Her daugther left with her.  I am praying she will be alright.  She is one of the many grandmothers in America that walk their grandkids to the bus stop.  Those grandkids love her, and she is 75, a fall can be so bad.  Anyways I pray she will be ok.
