My Neck

I have severe stenosis in my cervical vertebraes at C-5 thru C-7.  I have had accupuncture, Chiropractor treatments, MRI's ran and the Dr. told me that my spinal cord is being pinched severely due to 2 bulging discs and severe stenosis in these areas.  My cervical curve in my neck has a vertebrae out of normal as well.  Frankly, the Dr. says he doesn't know how I walk.

I have had 2 steroid shots in my neck thus far, one Feb. 2nd and another Feb. 28th.  The first one gave me some relief for about 10 days.  I have yet to see if the second one helps.  They said I could hjave a total of 3 and then if no relief, I will have to see a neuro-surgeon.

From what I have read and been told, that severe stenosis in this area can eventually cause a person to be wheelchair bound if not fixed.  I don't know how long that takes for that to happen but, at my age now, I may die before that happens.

At present, I have pain in my arm and neck and tingling from my neck to the end of my fingers in my left arm along with weakness in my left arm and hand.  I am also experiencing an occasional falter in my step when I start to turn and change directions of walking.  Guess we will see what happena next.
