My Mum Might Have Glaucoma
This year just isn't going in the direction I'd hoped it would.
My Mum went to get her eyes checked today at the optician's, and the results weren't good. She has high pressure in her eyes which is likely to be Glaucoma. My Mum is a great artist, she paints landscapes, wildlife and abstract and her paintings are amazing, so the thought of losing her eyesight must be terrifying for her - I know it is to me! I've reassured her that there is treatment to prevent things from getting worse, but it is still a huge worry.
How life throws things at us... all at once it seems. I don't know what else to say.
Oh, and I broke my 6 week drink abstination tonight :-(
