my mom came home last night, she has broken right arm. orthopedic dr. visit possibly today.
Good morning angel friends :) a very special thank you to you all, for you comforting prayers, and warm well wishes for my mom :) we appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts <3 my mom was discharged from the hospital last night, shortly before 11pm. Holly and i went upstairs to greet my mom and dad. my mom recieved x-rays, and has a broken right arm, it's a fracture. She was given pain medicine, and her arm is in a sling, it looks very secured, carefully. she's in good spirits. :) She is going to be seeing an orthopedic dr, possbily today to see if she'll need surgery. She really doesn't want to have surgery. we're very hopeful, and praying that maybe a cast or continued care while wearing the secure sling, will be well enough for her to fully heal. i'll definitely keep everyone updated. we all went to sleep late last night, my mom had a hard time sleeping. She and my dad are both up early this morning. my mom's gonna call in to the dr. place, to see if they can see her today. i'll definitely keep everyone updated in this journal (comments section), and will write a new journal to post this evening too. We're very hopeful, and praying for a full healing recovery for my mom. She thankfully didn't hit her head, and her leg/knee is ok. The paramedics, doctors, and nurses took very good care of her. We're all rallying around my mom, helping out around the house this morning, caring for our pets, and home. it was a frantic evening and night, we're just so very glad, thankful, and relieved my mom is gonna be ok. it all happened very suddenly yesterday evening, we all were getting ready for dinner, my mom and dad even had their dining room table set, and they went over to Alyssa's house briefly, as she cooked some foods for Taylynn, they usually go over there for a few minutes in the evenings, and my mom told us, when they got home, she was carrying a bag, and a package of hashbrowns, and tripped over the cement block by the end of our sidewalk/driveway area. it was very sudden. my dad was calling Holly and i for help, to help my mom up, but she was in an awful amount of pain, and we just felt it was best if she stayed in that position until the paramedics arrived, just incase her back/neck/spine was hurt. We're gonna take all precautions to make our yard/driveway area safer for everyone. my mom's very strong, and gonna make it through this with lots of good healing progress each day :) We're gonna have breakfast this morning, and taking things an hour at a time, being there for my mom and will keep everyone updated often. Thank you all again, our dear angel friends :) We love you all bunches and bunches :) Wishing everyone a peaceful day :) Sending our love, and our warmest caring comforting friendship hugs from us all :)

my mom talked with the orthopedic dr. office, she was scheduled in at 10:40am this morning. she's relieved she's gonna be able to be seen today. i'll continue to post updates here.
That broken arm should heal as even us older people still have bones that knit themselves back together.. hopefully the ortho can get her in today to put cast on arm so it heals correctly. Since it is the arm I am not as wortied about surgery. Those bones in arm are straight. Hopefully he/she does not feel it needs to be pinned back together! The strength your mom gets from her family will help her as I would think she isn’t going to be cooking and doing other household tasks for time to get out of cast.
Here is prayers for your Mom and her pain levels to not keep her from sleeping soundly thru the nights while in healing mode.
Hugs
Bill
Thank you Bill, for your healing prayers, and warm well wishes :) We appreciate everything.we just heard from my mom, she had a good appt. at the orthopedic doctor's office, she thankfully isn't going to need surgery, and the doctor mentioned she won't be needing a cast, but is gonna need to wear the secure sling for a while, and is going to need physical therapy. her doctor said it could take up to 6 months to heal. my mom's in good spirits, we just cleaned, organized our kitchen, and did the dishes, helping out around the house, my mom's gonna rest when she arrives home, my dad is with her. my niece and sister have worked in medical care, and are gonna help my mom with her secure sling, when she needs it taken off, and put back on. it's a nice family team effort, and all of the healing prayers from dear friends is very comforting, and helpful. we'll forever be grateful, and appreciative to have you all in our lives. i'll continue to keep everyone updated. my dad took my mom to the walmart pharmacy to get prescriptions, and they'll be home soon. many special thanks to you all, our dear friends :)
Hi Chris Happy to hear your mom doesn't need surgery Hope she rests and recovers well Take care-Stephanie
So sorry to hear. Sending prayers. Great idea clearing pathways of all hazard materials/objects, especially when carrying something we forget about what's ahead.
I have never broken a bone, so I can't imagine how much pain she is in. Gentle hugs for all!
Sorry your mom has a broken arm god bless.
