My mom
on January 3rd 2007 my mom died from a blood clot in her leg. (She was recovering in a nursing home from a surgery she had and they took her off blood thinners)When the alarm went off for school that morning my dad and I both heard it but ignored it for some reason. When we finally woke up, my dad saw a message on the answering machine and a nurse at the hospital saying she callapsed on the bathroom floor in the nursing home and she was rushed to the hospital where she died before we could get there to say goodbye ( it didn't hit me that she was gone until I was there) I remember seeing her body on a metal table in this all white room, everything was covered up with a white sheet but her head. Her skin was pale white and cold, I was crying telling her to wake up, telling myself it wasnt real I was in a dream but it was reality. I kissed her forehead and they made me leave because I was only 7 years old. There was a room they would put the whole family in once my uncles got here. It seems like my uncle from GA arrived the same day but I think my days ran together. At her funeral I touched her cold face with my left hand and it was cold. I went and hid behind a poster board that was being displayed and cried behind it so no one would see me cry. I did this a couple of time and finally my brother Eddie came over to ask if I was okay and gave me a hug. This is the last vivid memory I remember before 2013.
My mom and I were every close and when she died, the old me died and the new me was born and slowly developed. Since I came back to life I am getting memories back I blocked out, before I couldn't remember all this detail.

I am so sorry for your loss. Words can't convey.
I am so very sorry that you have gone through all of this.
Please, do not be afraid to cry. We need to experience our emotions (or the stages of grief, how ever you want to phrase it) so that we can truly become that new person that you recognize was born that day.
Gentle hugs
