My meds are working
I take my meds. everyday and for the most part I am feeling more up beat and able to with deal life. My husband has went into a severe depression since the death of his father. It has been over a year and he is tsill depressed. He will not see a councilor or go to the doctor. He is getting worst and worst. Any ideas how to help him? I can't make him seek help. It is hard to deal with his depression.

Of course your husband could use some medication and counseling to get through the grief period of losing his dad. We all go through that. Maybe if you encouraged him to get some medication and talk therapy.....and let him know it won\'t be forever.......? Ya know? Sometimes people think that people will judge then if they go to counseling, like they\'re crazy or something. But not when you\'re going for grief counseling. Could you try and explain that to him and tell him it will help him heal quicker if he gets the help.
Otherwise we can\'t make people go for help. Be a good friend and wife, and hold him up in prayer!
Thanks for your kind words. I am hoping it will get better. They just got the estate settled. It it hard when you have to sell your parents house.We loved going to his Dad. It was where everyone gathered. My father in law loved to have parties.I will keep praying and be there for him.

If he is spiritual talk to him about the universe. If you think about it we all have a piece of stardust in us and will be recycled again by the cosmos. Start going on walks with him when it gets warmer and talk. You sound like an awesome lady -Peace

Has he tried meditation? I found that helped me after my mum died. xx

I lady from my mother\'s church talked to me today. She said my mother and sister are evil and to stay away. I told her not to worry that I would stay away from them. The lady asked how my health was . i told her it had improved great since I no longer hear from my mother and sister. I wish I had a loving extend family but I don\'t . It was nice to hear I am doing the right thing by not trying to fix a relationship with two crazy people.
Sorry it wasn\'t nice to call my mother and sister crazy. But some days that is the only word I can think of to describe them.
