My Life: trouble arrives

I said in my last entry that now I could drink all I wanted and get paid for it. That is excactly what I did. As time went on, so did the drinking. Now I also had to deal with my very upset wife. She started her job a 7:00 AM., and I got so I couldn't wait for her to leave for work so I could go out to my shop and get the drinking for the day started. By 7:00 AM. every morning I was starting a brand new day in my dream world With a beer. Every morning I was only going to have 1, but never did that happen. When my wife got home from work every day, my toughest job was to hide my breath and try my best to act sober. It never worked, but I thought it did. By the time I finished my last beer of the day, I was thinking I better pick some up for tomorrow morning, or I'll be in trouble. On the night's I wasn't able to pick it up, the next morning was spent watching the clock litterally until the beer store opened. A lot of nights I went out for my last beer, to find out there was none left. On some occasions I would phone my daughter or son and accuse them of drinking my beer. That didn't go over very well, and I actually believed it to be true. Try this sometime if you need to know what shame feels like. How could I have ever allow myself to sink to this depth. Words cannott describe it. I was levels below the worlds lowest life forms. What kind of a pig could do these things, but I continued, never believing what was in store for my future.

This is the disease in full swing. Alcohol: cunning, powerful, baffling. Thank you for sharing your story. When I tell other alcoholics that I never got to this point, every one of them replies \"yet\".
