My Life next step
It took a while after returning home from the west, but I finally landed a job. I was a welder for a train car company. After about a year and a half I was offered a supervisor's job. I accepted the job. My wife was dismayed at this, but I thought it was all part of movin on up. I was very proud of myself for a person with a grade 9 education to make it as far as I had. I don't care I'm still proud of it. I worked as a supervisor for the next 20 years. The job wasn't all a bed of roses, like everything else it had it's up's and down's. I got to the point where I made sure I had a 6 pack in the back of my truck for the ride home. It was a 15 minute ride. I kept a bottle of mouthwash in my locker at work in case I had a couple of beers before I started my shift. Life in my mind was good. I was making good money and I was the leader of men. What else could a person want. My next entry won't be as boring I promise.
