My Journey To Strive For Better Skin
I market certified organic products to people who are concerned about using chemical, toxic & synthetic ingredients in their body and health care products and the negative effect they can have on the body. Like what happen to me..
..I suffered for 15yrs with acne on my face, neck &back. My skin was sore, inflamed with redness,cysts and large pores. My confidence and self esteem had taken a very large knock from not wanting to go out of the house some days. I also suffered dermatitis, open wounds, dry/cracked skin on my hands I was always having to wear a 100% cotton glove and could not carry many day to day tasks efficiency ie driving, washing myself.
I Loved organic products, insisted on them for my food and balance this with regular exercise. But when it came to skin care, I trusted man-made (synthetics)/plant based products over 100% natural/organic, as this did not help my acne skin of being inflamed, redness, cysts, large pores etc.
I have tried expensive high end brands thinking they had the best ingredients i.e Clinique, Clarins, Laura Mercier, by terry.... but this still did not help my skin.... then I moved onto man-made (synthetics)/plant based ingredients within products i.e. claudlie, Eve Lom, Arbonne.... then 100% natural /organic i.e. Neals yard, pai, speizia, but again I found these products were not helping the cause of my skin disorder.
I was fed up of my skin and from the years of research tired of greening washing of companies, using clever marketing techniques stating they were pure and safe when still using ingredients that can irritate the skin and potentially be harmful I.E.Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate-leaves a film on skin-clogs pores causes the occurrence of acne. Fragrance on a label can indicate 4000 separate ingredients, many toxic or carcinogenic, skin irritator. Any many more to be aware of I.e. Polyethylene Glyrol (PEG), Cocoamidopropyl, etc etc
Due to my frustration of my skin and being let down by companies and their products. I decided to find from researching 100s of different brands a true, ethical, transparent company with products that were 100% natural & organicand scientific proven to actually work,
TO TREAT THE CAUSE AND NOT THE SYMPTON.
This was when I came across Miessence, the step THE REAL TEST was to try out these products. From reading about the different skincare products best suited to my skin, then also realising from reading about the superfoods. I needed to give my body the most optimum nutrition that we do not get from everyday foods. Superfoods i.e. spiritual, wheatgrass, coffee fruit extract, Blue-Green Algae, 13 strains of Lactobacillus Bacteria (known as good bacteria) etc
On first using the skin/body care products, loved the smell of purity. no enhancement of synthetic perfume fragrance....it calmed my skin by not feeling sore and calmed the intense redness and open wounds. Superfoods I was having, two teaspoons one of deep green alkalising and other Inliven mixed with apple juice was satisfyingly tasty. Berry radical Antioxidant was taken with hot water and milk like having a healthy traditional hot chocolate, due to Raw Caco as the main ingredient.
By the end of the 1stweek.....it reduce my inflammation, redness of the acne,healed my open wounds and dry/cracked skin, from the dermatitis. I could shower without my hand feeling irritated and sore, Yippee!!!! & by the end of the 2nd week..... no more acne cysts, inflammation had totally diminished.
Each symptom of my acne has reduced week by week, my pore sizes are reducing. Ive even noticed my fine wrinkles have been reduced, BONUS, YIPPPEEE. This has been due to the Miessence products being aloe vera based, aloe vera increases skin cell regeneration rate, so the surface skin cells are Softer, Plumper and YOUNGER!!!
Two years on and My skin is clear of any acne and my scars are completely diminished. My dermatitis only ever comes back if I come in contact with synthetic/chemically based products. My skin is now balanced I not only look good but feel great and I have regained my confidence.
