My Hospital Stay
Well as some may know last night I was transported to a local hospital by a good friend of mine. I didn't have to wait long to be seen, but after I got to to the back, the staff ran all kinds of tests on me, blood, piss, a physical, followed by an ekg. The doctor didn't like some of the heart readings she was seeing, she told me that she suspects that due to the fact I had been dealing with some mental health issues for a while, and telling me that she thinks my stress level shot through the roof and the day I told her my ex-fiance left. She doesn't think my body has anything close to any recovery time since she's been gone. So for my heart she prescribed me low dose aspirin. After a thing body related that could have been contributing to my mental health bad been handled, in came the psychiatrist! He spend a good long she with me, I gave him the history of everything that had gone on these last several months, the pre breakup problems, the breakup and everything there after. He then asked me a battery of questions, when all was said and done he advised me that I'm being diagnosed with depression and he diagnosed me with anxiety disorder and for the first time ever, I was diagnosed with P.T.S.D. he said I got that due to the extreme mental and emotion trauma I suffered on August 3rd, he said from that moment on it was all downhill. I told him that my Mom had sat my ex-fiance down on her sofa and had a long "you might want to rethink what your doing" talk with her, even strongly warning her that she's knowingly leaving a guy who already has mental health issues, Mom warned her that something like this could happen, the ex didn't care! The doctor leaned over to me and said if my ex-fiance was still in town, he'd have that woman committed!
So I got prescribed the antidepressant Zoloft, and Abilify and for severe anxiety or panic attacks I was prescribed Xanax! I was only held overnight, by 7:00am they thought I was well enough to go home. It's still hard, but I at least know that I have some newly prescribed tools that hopefully will help me get better.

Good u had that checked and xanax really helped me, still does occasionally and it\'s fairly fast acting. Hope u feel better.
That split took a toll on you. Take care of yourself. I\'m not religious but saw a quote yesterday that was up lifting: \" every rejection is God\'s protection\" these toxic people did us a favor. We will be calm and happy again. Hang in there!
How are these drugs working for you Aaron? I\'m thinking of trying again. I\'ve had horrible reactions in the past so I have to be very careful. I have Xanax for anxiety but it doesn\'t work on the depression.
Surprisingly Agent Smith my medications are really working well. I am on Zoloft 50mg\'s once a day for the depression, it took a couple weeks to build up in my system, but about the 2 to 2.5 week mark, I felt much better. Also the sleeping pills are helping, I don\'t take them every night, but when I do, ((pop)) knock out. And I haven\'t had to used the Xanax prescribed to me in three weeks, the Zoloft is helping in the anxiety area as well. But yeah, I feel much better than I did a long while back, heck a long while back was suicide time, now, for me it\'s more like optimistic time!
That\'s good to know. I\'ll have to look into Zoloft. I don\'t know what category that falls into. I\'ve tried several meds and I can\'t even describe the hell they put me through. If there was something that affected the same parts of the brain that xanax effects, I\'d try it. Because I have no side effects with Xanax.
