blustery out there tonight.  wow!  this is my third try, ds lost one journal, then my computer did a restart to update and lost one, now here we are.  grrrr.

went to k's for dinner.  he made beef stir fry over brown rice.  a new drink with vodka, which is odd as neither of us drink vodka very much, not since around high school actually, or just after high school - i started liking gin when we were having peach smoothies with gin in the passed couple of years.  yum.  white wine with dinner and then coffee.  brought over the shallots to make the escargot next time.  don't remember putting those in the sauce last time.  didn't take focus factor yesterday so made sure i took it today, but by now i'm still foggy anyway.  i think i'm in so much pain that it messes up everything else even the amount of strength.  pain weakens you.

k's t-day was ruined by one of the boys.  he says c called three times to make sure he would be there, but then never called with a time.  he gets there at dinner time and c says, oh, we ate already.  bull shit.  to me that means, they were partying something illegal otherwise they would have said something earlier.  he has more trouble from those boys.  is it worth it?  wish he'd have called as i'd have gone over to cook's or something like that and just picked up that kind of food for a different day, though none of us do much of that kind of eating.  everyone i know has medical troubles of some sort and can't eat that crap anyway.  j and i never did.  we always grilled.  grill, baked potato and salad, pretty much all the time, surf and turf for holidays.  veggies of course.  i have stuffing, but not really into it.  forgot to pick up zucchini casserole (and still haven't) also didn't remember to get sherbet for the chocolate graham crackers and still haven't.   now i'm against meat again, have been most of my life, but i have to have it until my hemoglobin goes up again.  i keep thinking the hemoglobin is normal again and then i'll walk more than usual or something and i get totally out of breath and i know that is hemoglobin, not enough oxygen going to other parts of the body - that's the main thing hemoglobin does.  i never knew that.

took the red yeast rice pill finally.  its a morning vitamin, just like statins were, so the first time i took it, it kept me up most of the night.  i'm still adapting.  the foreign guy at work is making trouble and i think he is drinking.  the new area supervisor is going to have to breathalyze him.  bad enough when he screws up, but to purposely fuck with things is nuts.   they had an opening for an easier position and i told him that last time he screwed up and he didn't want it.  but instead of improving he got worse and worse attitude as well.  normal people aren't belligerent when they screw up.  normal is you look and you try to learn from it and you apologize.  he's postal.  its odd that he keeps making the same mistakes.  i think its his age.  he was belligerent way before this though, the former supervisor had the same problem with him.  now here it is again.  he doesn't seem to comprehend he is here to work, and stapling paper in a neat pile and handing it to someone isn't enough.   it amazes me if a person is openly lazy, its like what is wrong with you.

saw rn briefly and byn is back.  he and buddy got into a fight because buddy wants more work done in exchange for byn staying at the bay.  he has every right to ask, though i haven't heard the list yet.  always drama when there is a holiday, so much easier not to get involved at all.  so he's back in his old bedroom.  her neighbor was by as well, she is having carpal tunnel surgery and "retail knee" surgery, seems like a lot at once.  not sure what retail knee is.   also, someone's father died (another one) and like the other one who's father died, its a mixed bag, so will that be like relief to them or will they miss him.   he was ten years older than his wife and she died 15 years ago.  he never treated her well and the club they belonged to is the only positive they had together - its amazing how bad he was to her.    lots of chaos with all of them.  his daughter is still poison, she has taken to texting harassing messages to people in addition to calling - even as a kid she used to call people and cause all kinds of chaos in people's lives.   she is harassing another ex-boyfriend and you want to say to her, aren't you kind of old to still be acting like that?  amazing.  never realized how evil she was until years later and you hear all the crap and its like, all this shit is true.  same with bda.  same kind of thing.  but with bda it was mostly if she didn't take her meds because she was bipolar.

amazes me when people don't improve and its like, i really think people are born as is.  for a little while they get good at covering up their evil, and then they go full circle  and stop bothering to have manners and their evil is right there in everyone's face again.  mike, who owns an assisted living, used to say that - they don't become mean when they are old, they start out that way, and you just notice it more when they are old.  lol.

also k's new worker is gone and still owes k money.   so finished off the night watching ma and pa kettle, i never saw those movies before.  EXCELLENT.  they say there were NINE of those movies and ALL of them were hits.  cool.  also watched five little peppers, which is just my speed.  i always liked old movies, its like watching history in addition to the actual movie.  both movies were made around 1940.

so I finally remembered to pick up zucchini casserole, got the one at boston market this time (its excellent). instead of bringing it to the house up north I brought it to k\'s. i brought over the casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy and sweet potato pie with marshmallows and cinnamon (it needs pineapple so you have to add it separate or its not as good, either the tidbits or the crushed pineapple). k had already made home made cranberry, the strong kind so its more of a garnish. so at least the food was there, just a different day.

he also started on the food for Christmas rather than rely on the boys. good idea. lol. its funny, but its actually not, don\'t invite if you are going to be doing drugs instead, because that IS what it is. on the other hand, jc\'s family doesn\'t do anything except public ones, there is even a restaurant in st. Augustine that does the public t-day for free?! if you talk to jc\'s sisters they are like, do people still do that? as in cook. they hit as many of the public ones as they can, as a group, his family is huge, so from 11 to 4 they are popping between all these different public t-days. royelle is like why would anyone cook. they have the same thing at Plymouth rock, but its sliding scale from 1 to 20 you give when you go in and when you leave and there is another public one there that is a set price, everyone I know of up there, does the same thing, public only. its probably cool, its a \"reenactment.\" they could easily put together something like that here, we have the weather for it, and they do reenactments all over the place the weekends before Christmas, that\'s a big thing now. lots of fun too.

they treat t-day the same as the birthday freebie thing that is on-line, where you join their club (there is 100 of them) and the restaurants send you coupons for free meals. you have to go take-out for that or you won\'t hit very many places, and you get all this take-out for free. the most I\'ve hit is 7 if you include silly ones like ice cream, but one of the guys claims he did 20. wow!
