My heart and lungs didnt explode...

Hey everyone, I plan on doing the usually "new years resolution" of loosing weight duh!  But after my latest visit with my pulmonologist who has given me free range, and no restrictions on exercise or activity, wohoo...Ive become exited, I have been climbing the 3 flights of stairs to my therapists office every week to test my disposition, and once I get to the top my heart is pounding and I am a bit out of breathe, but its nice to know that its just purely me being out of shape and nothing is wrong with me. I lived for a while with an intense fear that my lungs and heart would explode if I exercised...but that all changed. My girlfriend brought home a jump rope on saturday night after a late night run to walmart... ( she had seen her very inshape friend in CA skip rope while climbing a hill and got inspired lol) So I grab it tear it out of the box and decide im gunna go out in the middle of the street at midnight jump rope after eating a bunch of pizza I might add (probably not the best way to ease into exercise...in the middle of the night on full stomach and after not doing much of anything for months lol) but non the less my mind took me on a mission and my body reluctantly followed... so i jumped rope like a dumb ass  for like 10 min of course stopping inbetween lots bc i hadnt jumped rope since elementary school but none the less...I did it. I repeated it the next night, and then yesterday afternoon... I dunno I guess I just got really happy the my heart and lungs didnt explode...  So now, I have no excuses to not exercise and Im actually kinda exited about it, I cant wait to start using my treadmill again, I think i will start on the new year! I do still however, have excuses for my diet...INR has been low for two weeks no more salad and greens as per my hematologist until it bounces back up grr. I kinda made a booboo, I missed my dose last sat, then i didnt really eat my greens evenly more like a binge. I had on friday veggie sushi and a huge salad (oops) and a spring roll full of cabbage ( oops again) and then I had another kinda large salad on sunday night ( opps......) I probably shouldnt have but I was so craving it! Anyways Im gunna be extra careful not to have any this week, and maybee have a few holiday drinks as my inr is low and I should just take advantage right???? LOL!  Well... I guess im happy my heart and lungs didnt explode. I know it will take time for me to get inshape and my heart might pound and I might be out of breathe for a bit, but Im hoping the more i get into shape the less it will bother me. But like i said earlier I have no problems with my heart and my lungs as per my doctors...therefore I must start getting into shape like ive promised I would.

Oh p.s. The next day I had such minor muscle aches compared to the ones i was having over doing housework a month ago. Last month I would do housework and then suffer for a day or two after with horrible muscle aches and chest aches. So I was surprised that after a full day of walking ( x mas shopping for hours ) and then 10 minute crazy jump rope session, that I wasnt in a lot of pain. My shoulder muscle ached and my chest aches a little, but I tooke two tylonal and guess what? it actually took the pain away... So I have to add that blurb of happiness, bc a month ago my muscle aches the day after exertion really scared me a lot... so yay.

i\'m glad you r getting into shape. i\'m doing the same as well. this weekend, i figured i will take it slow and do some simple exercising such as stretching and tai chi. then later once i get use to the tai chi i will learn kung fu. i hear a lot of older people use it and it is a good way to train your body. even though my doctor doesn\'t want me to exercise for awhile it\'s been almost for months and i need to lose weight. get back into exercising fast. i hope everyone is having a happy holiday and starting the new year off with something positive; i know i will try.
