My Headache Went Away

I had another bad headache day until about ten minutes ago.  When I went to my regular doctor I actually put the paperwork over my face in the waiting room because my head hurt so bad and the lights were too much for me to handle.  I'm sure I looked like an idiot but I didn't care. He told me he had a few patients that have this and it's a rough road, but a couple went into remission and another one is dealing with headaches through pain management.
Went to neuro ophthalmologist next.  Passed eye tests, doc says eyes look good.  I only have two minutes with him so I just said as quickly as possible that the constant headaches are too much for me to cope with.  So he is doubling my dose of zonisamide that I take everyday and he prescribes percocet for pain.  Now I have to go see him again in a week.  This is getting expensive!
I have never taken percocet before, but I have to say.  MY HEAD DOESN'T HURT RIGHT NOW! I'm just enjoying this moment.  I'm not sure how I feel about being on a "heavy" narcotic, but it is working for now.  I know it will ware off soon.  Just glad to have some relief.
On another note, I went to lunch with my mom and was miserable with my headache.  I love her so much!  She is so caring, patient, and has stood by me through thick and thin.  Today she told me she is the happiest she has ever been. She is not working, getting social security but needs to find a part time job.  She has her own apartment for the first time in her life and doesn't have a husband or a boyfriend right now.  She loves to dance and have fun with her friends.  I'm so happy she is happy FINALLY!  It only took 63 years!
Obviously she is not happy I have this condition and am miserable now most of the time. For some reason on the way home I had this thought which was weird:  If I have to be miserable with this PCT in exchange for my moms happiness then I will deal with it for her happiness sake.  I know that is not how life works, but it was just a random thought.
Guess I will actually go outside and play with my dog while I don't have a headache and pray it doesn't kick off a headache.
