My Grandpa

While I did not have any parents around me, my grandpa hugged me and called me his kindelle (child)
While my mother told me I was the worst thing that happened to her, my grandpa said every day that I was the best child he ever could ask for
As I felt ugly growing up in Rio, my grandpa told me with the most loving eyes and candid smile that I looked like a queen, even when I had a towel around my head and looked all messed up.
For him, I was the most intelligent, the most beautiful, the kindest person he ever had the opportunity to meet. He told me that every day, every minute we were together, even when he did not use words.
I believe you, grandpa. Because for me, you were the same. Thank you for being there for me when I need you most and thank you for walking by me, from the other world, making sure I am able to face and have the courage to move from one day to the next.
I loved you then, I will love you forever, and because of the love you gave me, I am able to multiply and share with my own granddaughter.
