My goal

I work full time and do a writing gig on the side that makes a good amount of money. My goal is to transition to being a stay at home parent and write while my husband works. He has a vocational meeting in June that we will be attending, and after that, we can set clearer goals towards employment. He is depressed because he's felt useless as a man and a father, as well as many other factors in his life that are out of his control. I like my job, but it no longer gives me the stability I need to keep a rigid schedule. My son also craves the learning and nurturing that only I can give him, and I want to be there to raise him. My job requres me to give a heavy amount of reassurance and guidance to people I really don't care about. It exhausts me, and when I come home, I don't have the energy to do it for two more people.

It doesn't feel right to me.

My son and husband should have my best energy, not the scraps they get.
