My Get up and Go has broke.
A little background: 2 1/2 years ago I had a total knee replacement, everything seemed to go well and i have been back to my normal self after a short recovery time. Of course minus the odd PE now and again which didn't have anything to do with my knee replacement. Now I have been suffering from a swollen knee for lets say the last year? OK so I'm not big on rushing to the doctor. Anyway I finally went to see my orthopod thinking I could get a quick fix of maybe draining fluid off the knee and maybe a steroid shot. HA Not likely!!! Seems my artificial knee is kind of malfunctioning and he needs to go back in and try to fix it or replace the knee replacement. Just my luck HUH? I have another appointment on the 8th of March and we'll make the final decision then. Because of my tendency to throw clots so easily the hospital has made the decision they will put me in the critical care unit instead of the standard surgical unit. In the meantime all the people I work with are gleefully cackling, rubbing their hands together and drawing straws to see who gets to care for me, I think I'm afraid, very afraid. Especially after listening to all the things they will do to me if for some unknown reason I become unconscious. Anyway I'll keep ya'll updated as I know things.
