My follow up appointment
Feel terrible at the moment, was discharged from hospital yesterday. She didn't listen to me, she just kept repeating about how I had a major op and can't expect to feel myself. I explained about not being able to pass water without straining, she just repeated the above. I told her the pain I was still experiencing and she dismissed it, she just wasn't interested! I asked her if she had ever had the operation I did? Her reply was that has nothing to do with it. I felt like an experiment, not a real person, she looked at me in the clinical sense, not a real person. The appointment was 5 minutes where she had a quick feel of the scar, she did not accept everyone heals at different paces! Lost total confidence in the NHS because of this which is a shame, as the nurses when I was in hospital was awesome!
