My First Ultra Sound... Saw the Heartbeat!
Well, I had been nervous all weekend since my symptoms seemed to be waxing and waning. My boobs seemed like they weren't as sore and I didn't seem to be nearly as tired. I tried to remain positive but my heart was sinking all weekend with worry that something was wrong. I was eagerly waiting for Monday to roll around yet absolutely terrified that my worst fear may be realized. I had my first u/s this morning and to my shock/amazement, my RE showed me the sac, the yolk sac and the heartbeat. All I could say was "WOW"! There is only 1 baby in there which is just fine by me and I am not disappointed. I just want to be sure that one baby stays put for a good 9 months. Oh, then comes the second part of my worry, how does my beta numer and progesterone level look? Wait, wait, wait...damn, I hate waiting. So around 4:30 they call to let me know that the beta is now at 12,000 and the progesterone is at 39. Oh thank God! That means no PIO!!! The suppositories and lozenges are working. One more hurdle and so many more to go. I call up DH with all of the news and I had to laugh when he says, "oh, so you really are pregnant." It still hasn't totally sunk in for me yet either so how can I expect it to sink in for him when he is gone all week. It was just funny how he said it, not just the words but the tone and inflection in his voice. There are lots of wonderful DS Ladies in cycles right now and can't wait to see more BFP's coming this way.... Thank you all for holding my hand through this journey! Love & Hugs to All, Lauri
