my first mother's day being pregnant!
What a nice weekend!
I'm 13w pregnant and just experienced my first mother's day...as a mom to be :-) My amazing husband got me a card and an engraved picture frame. It says "every good and perfect gift is from above. James 1:17. Happy First Mother's Day. 13 weeks. May 2010"
James 1:17 is what we consider our relationship verse. It's engraved on my husband's wedding band as well....I surprised him with that at our wedding...he didn't know until then.
Included with the card was a note on how our verse takes on a new and special meaning with our pregnancy.
I also recieved a "mommy to be" mother's day card from my husband's aunt. And at church they gave all of the ladies (moms or not) a rose.
It was just so different from how I've felt on other mother's days. By the Grace of God, this time next year I should have a 6 month old :-)
