My feet are tired, but I feel good

I asked hubby to go with me for a walk along the "river" today to work off some of the Thanksgiving calories we consumed at my mom's yesterday.  I use quotation marks around the word "river" because the area is channelized.  But since the channel is very wide, if you get down past the concrete and riprap, it looks like you're out in the wild somewhere.  The riverbed is also home to a campground, orange orchards, various wildlife, and a few homeless people.  The channel has flooded only once in my memory, and we've had two or three fires down there. Today we covered about 3 miles I'd say (hence the tired feet) and snapped photos as we went.  It felt good to get out and walk, but next time I'll have to wear sturdier shoes.  (Some areas were kinda rocky.)

Nice that you were able to get out. Are you the one who balanced the rocks? I\'m bunny sitting a rabbit that looks almost exactly like yours. His name is Louis (or is it Louie?). hugs, doug

Yes, I balanced the rocks. They look quite large in the photo, but the darker one is less actually than 10 inches long. Our rabbit, Carson, already had that name when brought him home from the animal shelter, but I like it a lot. (Much better than the name of our first bunny, Flopsy, whom we adopted from my daughter\'s friend.)
