My Doctor's Visit
After waiting for a whole month to go see this Internal Medicine doctor today, I get over there and went into the office and got my new patient apllication to fill out and handed the receptionist my Insurance card and Drivers Licences to take copies of and I sat down to compleat my paper work, then all of a sudden the receptionist said in a loud voice and there were allot of people in the waiting room if Medicaid was the only Insurance I had and I said yes, then she said "the doctor doesn't accept Medicaid." I was told over a month ago that she did and went ahead and made the apointment. It was so imbarasing and especially her anouncing that I had Medicaid in front of all these other people. I had $11.00 dollars to my name untill I get my check the first and I was sick to boot and I had to use that to get back on in a taxi. I felt so low like I wasn't worth anything. I guess now I will have to start searching again for another Internal Medicine doctor who will actually accept my Insurance.
