my dad's in the hospital icu, with a brain bleed. posting updates
hi angel friends, posting an early journal today with some updates about yesterday evening and night. my dad was transported from Backus hospital here in our city, to the Hartford hospital last night. he's currently in the icu and has a brain bleed. my mom was keeping us updated. my mom and Jenn took my dad to the hospital yesterday evening. he hadn't been feeling well, since tuesday night. he was getting sick for almost an hour. he also was mentioning dizzyness. he was resting in bed yesterday,my mom was trying to convince him to go to the hospital. thankfully he agreed to go during the evening. he was given 2 ekg tests, and a CT scan. they found a brain bleed in his 4th ventricle. he was taken by ambulance to Hartford, hospital last night. my mom mentioned, he told the doctors, he hit his head in our shed on either sunday/monday, and also hit his head on a tree/branch in our backyard. we didn't know he hit his head. he seemed fine on monday and tuesday, when we went to the post office. he and my mom went to stop n shop after the post office, and when they arrived home ,he mentioned he was feeling dizzy, and had a headache. we were very surprised to find out he has a brain bleed. we're very hopeful, and praying he will be ok. we all were on standby yesterday, as we knew at any moment ,my mom may need our help, as she wasn't sure my dad was gonna be able to get out of bed. it was a hectic night last night especially after learning the news, we first thought maybe he was having vertigo, but it's a brain bleed, from hitting his head. my mom knew he had had hit his forehead on a tree/branch, but he didn't share about him hitting his head in the shed. my mom was home late last night. my dad did get a chance to call her from the Hartford hospital. they are running tests/scans on his brain/head. my mom and Jenn are heading up to Hartford hospital, they're gonna be going around 9am. Holly and i are going to keep an eye on our home, and pets ,and recieving updates from my mom. i'll definitely keep this journal updates going in the comments section, as i recieve the updates. We're all a bit frazzled, but hanging in there. Please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers, and please send healing energy prayers. I'm so sorry about your dad. Something as "simple" as bumps on the head can turn into something much bigger. Thank goodness he finally agreed to go to the hospital. I hope that you and Holly are hanging in there. Your mom, too. I know this has to be super hard on her. I'm a text or call away, if you need anything. I'm praying for you guys. Love and hugs.
OH my! Sorry to hear that. Our Dad's mean a lot to us. They do things for us and gave us life.... he will be in my thoughts and prayers... hugs
Thank you angel friends, from my mom, Holly and i, and our family. for your comforting, and uplifting prayers, and well wishes. we appreciate everything ,with all of the love of our hearts. my mom and Jenn visited my dad at Hartford, hospital. The doctors are giving my dad an angiogram test ,to determine if the brain bleed was caused by blood pressure. the good news, is that the bleeding has stopped. We're very thankful, and relieved ,and so very glad he's recieving the very best care. my mom and Jenn are on their way back home here. i'll keep everyone updated, and will also post a new journal this evening. Thank you all again ,our dear angel friends, we're very thankful and blessed you all are here for us <3 my mom called, and my dad was there, and he got to say hi to Holly and i, we said hi to him, he's alert, and voice sounded strong :)
We're all hanging in there, keeping strong, and taking good care. We're gonna get some fresh air, during a nature walk this afternoon. :)
Hi sweet Chris I’m really sorry to hear that your dad hit his head twice and now he has a brain bleed. I hope he will feel better soon and my prayers r with him and I’m sorry u, your mom, Holly and family r having to go through this also. My prayers r with u all. I am so sorry to hear that your dad is in the ICU at the hospital . Will definitely keep him in my thoughts and prayers that all goes well. I’m glad to hear that the angiogram showed that the bleeding has stopped. I’m glad to hear that your dad is alert and he got to talk to him on the phone.
