My current inspiration
I got two books recently that I am LOVING. they were each only a PENNY! plus 3.99 shipping for each- can't beat it! I wanted to share them with you ladies, and ill prob. mention them in a discussion post for others to be aware of as well.
The first one is called Moments For Couple Who Long For Children by Ginger Garrett. I am reading it on my own though, its not something you have to do with a partner. It has a verse from the Bible for each "moment" and a 1 page encouraging message that relates the verse to infertility.
The second one is The Infertility Companion by Sanda L Glahn and William R Cutrer. This one is kind of unique bc its the woman writing who struggled with infertility herself, as well as her doctor writing. Both of them also have degrees in Theology, so it brings together a credible Biblical perspective as well as credible medical information. It also has some good insight on how men and women respond differently to internality and has validated a lot of the feelings i have been having. I would definitely recommend both books if you are into that kind of thing.
I had a really hard weekend and have been trying to remain positive and focus on truths (like god really is good and he really does love me and have a plan for my life) instead of my emotions (like...well the opposite of all those truths:) ) I wrote out some new inspirational verses last night and hung them up on the bathroom mirror:
1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
Psalm 86:15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord you God is in your midst, a might one who will save. H will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with his love. He will exult over you with loud singing.
Hebrews 12:8 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses let us throw off ever tying that hinders and let the sin that so easily entangles us and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Isaiah 48:17 This is what the Lord days- your Redeemer, the Holy of of Israel: I am the Lord your God who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.
Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you, he will never lead you nor forsake you. Do no be afraid, do no be discouraged.
Also I can't get this song out of my head: "You will be safe in His arms, you will be safe in His arms, this is the promise He made, He will be with you always, when everything is falling apart you will be safe in His arms" -Phil Wickham, Safe.
So despite my hard weekend, there is some positive stuffy floating around in my mind, and now my mirror:) I think right now my fave verse is the Zephaniah one, what about you?

I agree with Claire, your time is coming soon. Sometimes it is hard to believe that this is what God has planned for all of us, but hopefully years from now we will be given the answers as to why we all had to struggle with IF. Maybe it will make us a stronger person to handle a future situation, or it is meant to give a passion for life, or to see the importance of a strong marriage and love. Whatever the reason, it has brought us all together, complete strangers to give hope to each other, something I would not have done if it wasn\'t for IF. Here\'s to the future!
Thanks for removing my post. I hate that we can\'t edit or delete our own stuff on here. Anyways....I\'m still planning on editing and reposting :)
What a great journal. You are such an inspiration! I think the books sound interesting so I plan on checking them out :)
I love ALL of the verses you mentioned above and what great step of believing to post them on your mirror. Im actually working on a project myself of scriptures and pictures to frame and put on my wall for inspiration as well as dcor.
Some things that are helping me:
John 14:13, 15:16, 16:23 are all scriptures about whatever we ask in Jesus name, God will give it.
So when I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, I know its a done deal.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, what things soever you desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
I really love the KIRV translation of this verse So I tell you, when you pray for something, believe that you have already received it. Then it will be yours.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.
Matt. 17:20 .for verily I say unto you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Psalm 145:15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.
Psalm 25:20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
John 6:63 (The Message Translation)
\"The Spirit can make life. Sheer muscle and willpower don\'t make anything happen. Every word I\'ve spoken to you is a Spirit-word, and so it is life-making.\"
God is the author of life and his word is spiritual and life giving. Since I\'m believing for a life to grow inside of me, this helps me to keep things in perspective.
I listen to different teachers of the bible on a weekly basis and am continually reminded how important our thoughts, actions, and confessions are. Words have power whether they are negative or positive.
Proverbs 18:21 (The message version) Words kill, words give life; theyre either poison or fruit you choose.
Proverbs 15:4 Kind words heal and help; cutting words wound and maim
Some quotes of a Biblical teacher and Theology professor that Ive enjoyed are:
Dreams become reality for people who believe
God is not a respecter of theology, but a respecter of believing
Believing scales the peaks of life, climbs the highest mountains without fear
God calls people believers because that is what he expects of them
I can do all things by means of him who infuses inner strength into me. That attitude is the greatest attitude I know.
The bolder your believing, the higher your success.
If you believe when you pray, act accordingly.
Man seldom gets around to believing God until he has exhausted all his energy trying to do it himself.
I love the quote; Dont tell God how big our problems are, tell our problems how big God is.
Romans 8:31 (Message version) So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose?
I always love hearing stories of people beating the odds, doing the impossible, etc.
Whew! So that is some of the stuff that I have floating around in MY head!
Please excuse my longwindedness :-)
You\'re awesome! Your time is coming soon and I can\'t wait!
Lots of love and hugs ~ Claire
