My C.O.P.D.
Hey All, First I want to say Hi to everyone here
Now I want to tell you how scared I am to have COPD but also opitmisttic for my near future as I am trying to do right with my Meds and eating and excersise & no more smoking
I took care of my Dear Mother (for 10 years) who passed from complications from this terrible disease just 4 years ago. Hard to watch and care for but I was honored to do it. I love & miss her dearly everyday :(
I got diagosed the same year she died and was terrified as I saw what she went through over 20 years, the last 8 being quite horrific so I kinda know my fate but I am gonna fight with all I have.
Anyway I am on Spivira, Tudorsa abd Ventilin @ the moment and am doing ok but I have my days, just taking it one day @ a time and saying lots of prayers and hoping to be around for a long while. I wish you all the best and look forward to conversing with ppl here who share my illness and feelings about it*

Had bad dry coughing fit earlier today,lasted about 10 minutes, hate them, my Mom had COPD and even when severe & end stage she never coughed except when she was sick with pneumonia, broncoitis or cold, I don\'t understand this disease, she smoked way more than I ever did and for many more years, she did suffer alot the last 8 years of her life :( but never coughed much, miss her daily, 3 yrs gone already*
had my Lung function test yesterday, thank God still Moderate but my last 2 X-Rays did NOT show expanded lung volume..the one I had a few weeks ago did show my lungs have expanded, makes me upset to find that out. I hope things stay ok for me for a long while, thinking of all my dear mother went through today and feeling scared...
