My brother got married yesterday
My brother got married yesterday. It was a weird day. Sort of like any other. It was a JOP wedding. I like saying JOP since I saw it online. hehe all these abbreviations. Justice of the Peace. He and Heather were dressed in regular clothes, both in those $1 flip flops. Definitely not my idea of a wedding day but it is what they decided and they are both happy, which is what truely matters most. We took them out to eat for dinner...at an old beautiful restaurant downtown - The Grand Concourse. Of course she is pregnant...a little over 4 months now. I was actually ok with most of the baby talk. I am hoping I will get to play a big part in this one's life because I am going to be the only aunt and my husband the only uncle. (Which is so different from my SIL pregnancy situation where there is no room for me in the babies life because of too many female family members.) But I guess time will tell. My brother is often extremely insensitive to me preferring friends to family. I hope the baby will change things a bit. I didn't grow up with any aunts or uncles fawning over me so I would like to make sure this little one will have a good aunt. It's hard at times with the pregnancy talk...but I made it through. They are hoping for a boy but I think its going to be a girl because they soooo want a boy! Heather kept talking about her stomach and how the baby is moving around in it. They really have no clue what I am going through. She is 25. No clue....and no interest in understanding. It is funny how when people are pregnant that is all they are interested in. I guess I would be the same...but it is sort of weird. It is like all other things in life are nonexistent.
