\"MY ANGELS SCATTERING DAY AT THE BEACH\"

My nephew Justin, brought 3 Dove's to my son Ryan's scattering day, of his ashes, at the beach, and about 50 family members & friends shared this experience with me, the funeral director walked out into the ocean, up to his waste in the middle of April,(On the eastcoast, in New Hampshire)very cold water, we all watched him let Ryan's ashes go, the last thing we did, was to let the Dove's go home to their destiny, but first before we let them go, if we wanted, we were allowed to hold them and pat them, I decided to pick one up, and hold it, and I talked to the Dove, I looked in the Dove's beautiful brown eyes, just as though they were Ryan's brown eyes, the Dove was so peaceful in my hands, the Dove was tilting his head, looking at me with Ryan's beautiful brown eyes, as though he wanted to communicate with me, Now, it was time to throw them up into the air, so we threw them up, and 2 of them flew up in the sky, except my Dove, my Dove jumped on the ground, and stood their looking at me, I said to the Dove, "Ryan" I know that is you, and you don't want to go home, you want to stay with me, I said look everyone, this Dove is Ryan, and he won't go, he wants to stay with us, Ryan the Dove, wants to hang out with us, I said thats my boy, I knew you wanted to stay with your Mom & your Friends, everybody laughed, we looked up into the sky, and the 2 Dove's were circling around, way up in the sky waiting for Ryan the Dove to fly home with them, I said to, Ryan the Dove, you can't stay, you need to go home with the other 2 Dove's, they are waiting for you, GO RYAN GO, FLY RYAN FLY, And off he flew, in 2 seconds he was with the other 2 Dove's, All 3 Dove's headed south, as fast as they could fly, to their destiny.... Love, Kelly (Ryan's Mom)

What an incredible experience. Thank you for sharing. I always love to hear stories such as yours. It gives me hope and sustains me. A few days after my son died, I was wandering aimlessly through my house. My husband and I had just had a little spat (normal I\'m sure under the intense emotions) and I went to my sons room downstairs to smell him and try to feel him. For some reason I opened his desk drawer and started to throw out some things like gum wrappers, chapstick, etc. I picked up some pens and pencils to bring upstairs to our drawer which had our office supplies. I put them in the drawer and turned away. Suddenly for some reason I turned back opened the drawer and pulled out a pen that had previously been in his desk. The only pen I picked up was a white and purple pen. On the pen were the words \"peace\" with the peace sign above. It was so awesome at the time. It was like my son was telling me to make peace with my hubby and things were OK. I\'ve never forgotten that experience. I haven\'t really had any since but I treasure that one and carry that pen in my purse. I\'m sure you will never forget your Dove Ryan. Thanks again for sharing this story. Love to you friend. Robin

Robin, I am Mary,(Qutee\"n\" Texas!!!) My daughter \"Danielle\" died on July 21st, 1993. She was killed in a one car accident, no one could ever explain. She wasn\'t going fast but apparently the tire rod in her 1993 Mazda MX3 broke and she lost control doing approximately 40mph! She went into a ditch and upon impact the car went airborne and she was ejected out the back hatch. She had marks from her shoulder harness but it didn\'t hold. She didn\'t even weigh a hundred pounds!!Her seat back laid down! My grief, as yours, is never ending! If you can, please find a \"Compassionate Friends Group\"! These are people who have lost a child and they will accept you and your ongoing grief for as long as you need them!! I wouldn\'t be alive today had I not found my group!!!
God be with you and please know I am here any time you want to vent! I still have my \"fits\" after fifteen years and \"The Lord\" hears my screams and wipes up my tears!! He understands my pain! He watched his son being crucified!!! I can not imagine a greater pain! Please check my journal for poems I have written. I will be posting some tonite, I think!!! Sometimes I have trouble with the \"Cut & Paste\" thing! I have a book of poems I have written coming out this fall. It is titled \"Mama\'s Heart!\" Stay in touch sweetie, I am here whenever you need me!!! It has been fifteen years for me so I have a \"little\" experience with your grief!!! God Bless You!!! & I am sorry for your loss. By the way, I get a helium ballon and release it with a note every time I am overwhemed with my grief!!! I have to believe that \"Danni\" catches it \"on the other side!\"
Love & Prayers,
Mary
