My son
My son was not an easy child but he always had a smile for you. When he was little I would try to surprise him and take his picture. Everytime he saw a camera he would run right up to it and smile so big. Every picture of him he is smiling. Why should he be gone when he still has his children who need and love him. I know, life isn't fair but it still hurts. I keep telling myself that all I need is time and I'll be better but none of us will ever be the same.

Dear friend,
I am so sorry for the loss of your son. My 37 y.o son, my only child, died suddenly in September 2009 & he left 2 heartbroken children as well. It is so unfair & I offer my condolences to your grandchildren as well. My grandchildren are hurt & angry as am I. We will be OK, I have to believe but our lives are changed forever. We also need to grieve the life we had. My son was a wonderful man, dad & son. In his adult years he had also become my best friend. It will take a long time for us to heal. I\'m sending you love & prayers. Sincerely, Linda
I am sorry for your loss. Losing an adult child completely changes everything. Even my marriage is not the same. At least I felt my son and I had come to a good place in our lives. We had problems when he was a teenager but we had worked on them and we had a great relationship now. I am happy that we became such good friends and sad that we won\'t have the chance to keep growing on this new relationship. I\'m hoping that talking to people who have an understanding of what I\'m going through will help me to accept this. I have to believe it will get better. Thank you for your prayers and I am sending you mine. Pat
Hello my new friend. I am very sorry for the loss of your precious son. No matter the age or the circumstances, burying a child is devastating and life changing for everyone. My 17 year old daughter, Kala, was in a car accident in 2007. I found this site shortly after and have been loved and supported by the amazing moms here since day one. You\'re right, life will never be the same. But you will find, slowly, that life is still available and still holds many wonderful gifts. Thank you for joining FMO and for journaling. Sharing our feelings, thoughts, pain, anger, and wishes is the best therapy there is. Thank you for sharing a little about your son. I look forward to knowing him and you better. Love and hugs, Teri.
