My mom...

I just read a note that one of my sister's had posted on Facebook about my mom and it brought tears to my eyes...it's sad that we never really tell people how we truly feel about them even though we love them so dearly..we just assume they already know...my mom doesn't have a computer...she will never get to read those beautiful words that my sister wrote. I lost my Dad suddenly in October 2000.  I never got the chance to tell him how much I loved him..how much he truly meant to me...how he touched my life so greatly..to this day I have trouble even to speak his name...it tears me apart.  I still can't believe he is gone.  It hurts as much today as it did the night he had to go and leave us all behind.  Even though he is gone I feel him with me every day.  When I need a hug I feel his arms around me, holding me tight. I know he guides me through life. I know he is always here with me. This weekend I am going to sit down and write my mom a letter. I don't get to see her as much as I would like to because we live a distance from each other, though not real far, far enough that I only get to see her on long weekends and holidays.  Since my phone has been disconnected I can't even talk to her. I am going to pour my heart out to her..tell her how much I love her, how she has touched my life and how blessed I am to have her as my mom!! Life passes us by and we seldom take the time to tell others how we truly feel...sometimes it hard to say those things in person..but I want her to know how much she means to me...I want her to hear those things. I don't want to assume she already knows it...I want her to know...I don't want to wait until it is too late... I love my mom...she is my world!! xx

It is wonderful to find out the true feelingd you have for some one. Then to sit down and write the people that you have these feelings down and give it ti them. You can change your whoule family structure. You can set free any anger you have, and you have give them your love and recieve it back. Not only that your act will probably inspire your family and or friends to do the same this too. It can cause a chain reaction.Give it a try!Love Peg

Laurel, you wrote so eloquently the feelings of my own heart lately. There\'s always so much baggage that we sometimes fall short of letting our mom\'s and dad\'s know what\'s in our hearts. I\'m so sorry that you lost your father so suddenly. I have been thinking alot about my own father. He\'s still with us, but he\'s aging rapidly and from what I hear, he is getting more bent over and more inclined to sit and rest than to work in his garden that he has taken so much time and effort to create. I can tell in his voice how tired he\'s getting and it hurts so much. He\'s so far away in Florida and here I am in Alaska where I wanted to be so badly. I have been having thoughts of going back and trying to rekindle all the hurt feelings that I left behind me. You have helped me so much today. I feel now a new strength and the feeling that I must let both my parents know how I feel \"before it\'s too late\". Thank you my dear friend for opening my eyes. Thank you for being such a kind and caring friend. I only hope I can help you as much as you\'ve helped me. I love you Laurel! xoxoxoxox

Your journal entry has brought tears to my eyes. You were and are so very lucky to have had loving nurturing parents, and it\'s obvious by how much you love them. Writing a letter to your mom to tell her how much you love her is a wonderful thing to do, one I\'m sure she\'ll never forget. If I had a family like you, I would love to do the same thing, but I don\'t, so for now I\'ll tell you my friend, how much I appreciate our friendship and all that you have brought into my life. I love you Laurel.

That is a wonderful idea! Let your Mom know exactly how you feel. I agree that too often words get left unsaid. Then tragedy strikes, someone dies, and it\'s too late and there are many regrets. Everyone should WAKE UP and let the special people in your life know how important they are:) !!!!!!!! CARPE DIEM
