My 60th Birthday

I have almost made it thru another "first". After a wonderful surprise dinner party last night hosted by my daughters and their spouses, I worked 10 hours today, my actual birthday.
The family I was working with made me pancakes for breakfast and a yummy orange chiffon birthday cake, complete with candles. I wore my "60" necklace from last night and as soon as I got home tonight I put my "60" tiara on!. I am the only one here, and I am determined to stay up til after midnight.
I saw a penny on the floor today where I was working, yes, it was my beloved Pat checking in with me.
We had a huge 60th birthday party for Pat. I hired a company to put pink flamingos all over the yard and we had people dropping in all day. It was wonderful. The invitations had his high school graduation on it. It was great.
I am amost able to cope since I doubled my zoloft. I am starting a drop in twice a month grief group this Thursday. I am looking forward to it.
