Muscle spasms/twitching

Does anyone out there get muscle spasms/twitching since diagnosed with gastritis? I get muscle spasms in random areas of my body (arms, legs ect.)  This usually happen at nights when I lie down to sleep. Is this normal with gastritis? My doctor is no help. I dont know why doctors  are so bad at dealing with gastritis
