Much Better

Well, this past week has gone well.  Panic and anxiety free and I feel normal!  Phew!  Big relief!  A few mini hot flashes here and there but manageable.  Again, can't tell if menopause or Lexapro.  Hot flashes seem to start from back of neck/bottom of my head and then radiate out from there to rest of body.  i was doing great with diet until Wednesday and now 3 days of binging.  Gotta get control tomorrow!  Exercise has been great doing Walk It Out everyday on the Wii except for today.  So with the food situation, praying I don't gain weight.
David started new counseling this week.  Monday they pick him up from school and take him to group counseling from 4-5pm.  "Boys to Men."  14-17 year old boys.  They talk about what it means to be responsible and be a man.  Woo Hoo!  then 1 day the counselor does 1 on 1 at school with him.  Then she comes here for an hour a week for family counseling.  Then they pick him up from school Thurs and from 4-5:30pm he has group counseling.  Either Paul or I or both go to family/parent support group session.  They have salad and pizza.  Paul went this week.  David likes the group therapy and there are other boys there who are in foster care or adopted or being raised by a grandparent, some have ADHD or other issues as well.  So he can relate to the other boys.
Busy, Busy, Busy at work.  Got 4 new fires this week.  My office is hopping with all the storm claims from the last few weeks with the heavy winds and heavy rains and then tornadoes yesterday in Pittsburgh area.  Thousands of new claims have come in!  We got approved to work approved OT for this week and next, so I have been working extra and not able to get on here so much.  I will try to catch up with everyone over the weekend if I get the chance.
I think Mother Nature needs to check the calendar as it is Spring!  Ugh!  It is too cold for me!  Another week of low to mid 40's!  Yuck!  They go a foot of snow in the Poconos and re-opened the ski slopes!

Don\'t beat yourself up about the bingeing, it might be linked with the Lexapro you have started - just try and get back on track - take it 1 day at a time, or even 1 meal at a time, or 1 hour at a time, whichever you need to do. When bingeing a lot, I used to promise myself I wouldn\'t binge for the next hour, then another hour and then another hour and so on, soon 1/2 a day or a whole day had passed by. All the stress you\'ve had with David and all the extra work won\'t be helping, so take it as easy as you can and don\'t be too hard on yourself. It\'s spring here and we are getting spring like weather, so far anyway. Our clocks go forward an hour tomorrow morning, so looking forward to lighter evenings. Glad that the counselling seems to be working so far for David.

Take care of yourself and don\'t be too hard on yourself.

Hurray for a good week...more, more! As for the binges...just try to recognize when they hit you and work on a plan to block the urges.
Glad to hear that David is feeling comfortable with the new counseling. Hopefully this will be his turning point!

You seem to be doing better. You can try the peppermint on your neck and see if it helps you.
I hope the therapy for David does him and your family
Keep feeling good
