music
I have been a musician my entire life, I can remember singing "Give said the little stream" and "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam" when I was four. I took piano lessons sometime in grade school, those lessons taught me to read sheet music and the basics of piano. I sang and sang and sang all though school, I was choir president my senior year of high school. I listen to a ton of music(I mean tons). My uncle was a karaoke dj when I grew up and I was cooking at a place and I did the karaoke for a year. I did not care if I got paid, I just did it for free drinks and be able to sing any time I wanted, and did I ever sing. The universe did mess with my head a few years ago, but maybe I had it coming. I had a girlfriend a few years ago whose boyfriend in the early nineties was a music promoter for the first lollapalooza when she lived in Seattle. I liked hearing her tales of Les Claypool of Primus, Courtney Love of Hole and the boys called Wheezer. They were the music scene when I was in high school(alternative). We are called Generation X. Music can be magic, I paid homage to the rock gods for years and they repaid me with a rock and roll fantasy.
Music soothes the savage beast. I use music to sooth my soul. When I am in the tub, meditating before I sleep and just any other time of the day. Music is so ordinary to me, it has always just been there.
