How I long to listen to some nice 1960s music. It was my husband's favorite decade for music. He even had his own band. I love the 60s too. Always have, listening to music from that period most of my life. It's my favorite music, but now, whenever I listen I become sad, thinking of how my husband is not here.
So, for the last 8 months it's been newsradio, but I'm determined to reclaim my decade. So I started with Duffy, who's actually a contemporary singer with a 60s sound. She's got a new album out and it's good. I listened for nearly an hour, enjoying the songs, and then I decided to listen to her last album, the one I listened to last year. No go. I immediately started thinking about my husband, expecting him to come through the door.
Oh, well, there's always tomorrow.
