MS has been my life
MS has been my life since my diagnosis ten months ago. It had to be that way because I have wanted to learn everything that I could about this right now. Enough time has passed that maybe it is time to move on to the next thing. I know the next step, now I just have to take it. MS is not going to go away, it will always be there until the end of my days. I know that sounds cynical, but that is the way it is and I am not going to fool myself otherwise. In someways, I have been preparing myself for something like this for all of my life. I have experienced so many different kinds of jobs. I have literally been the butcher, the baker and the candle stick maker. I have a number of hobbies to get back into. I can't wait and I say bring it on. It is time for me to live my life. I am so tired of using my skills for the progress and advancement of others. It is my turn.

i THINK YOU GOT IT STEVEN. NO ITS YOUR TURN. BY GOING ON THIS SITE AND WRITING HOW YOU FEEL YOUR ON THE RIGHT TRACK.NOW YOU CAN HELP OTHERS AND THEY WILL LEARN FROM YOU ABOUT THERE MS/ LIKE I SAID BEFORE ITS ME ME ME GOD LET ME DO ALL THAT I DID BEFORE I GOT MS SO THAT LIFE IS OVER I\'M STARTING A NEW LIFE TO HELP OTHERS WITH THERE JOURNEY WITH MS/ I WOULD LOVE TO DO THE WALK FOR MS BUT AT THIS TIME I DONT KNOW IF I CAN DO IT/ BUT I WILL GIVE IT TIME.TIME IS ALL I HAVE NOW/ HOBBIES ARE GOOD TO GET INTO AND STOP AND NO MORE STRESS YOU CAN STILL READ AND LEARN ABOUT MS AND ASK YOUR DOCTOR THINGS BUT DONT LET IT STRESS YOU. WHAT EVER I WRITE I SAY BECAUSE I DID IT. SOMETIMES I STILL THINK ABOUT IT BUT THEN I GET RIGHT BACK TO WHERE I AM NOW I HAVE TO STOP AND THINK I CAN DO THIS SO THIS IS MY LIFE. I CANT WAIT TILL THE SUMMER TO SEE HOW THAT GOES. WELL I REALLY THINK YOUR DOING GREAT AND NOW IT YOUR TURN TO GIVE OTHERS WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED AND IT WILL HELP THEM. YOU KNOW 200 PEOPLE ARE DX WITH MS A DAY SO WE HAVE ALOT TO TEACH THEM WHEN FIRST DX. AND IF THEY CAN TEACH US TO ALL IS GOOD WE HAVE TO ALL STICK TO TOGETHER AND THERE WILL BE A CURE . LOVE YA APRIL
I know how you feel....the first year or so is just panic mode--trying to cling to that old sense of \"normal\". Then you start to accept a new normal, that this is your life now, and there\'s no return to what it was. You\'re SO right with the hobbies and taking care of yourself first! I get so much drawing/painting/writing done now that I\'ve accepted my \"new normal\". Some days I still struggle against it and it\'s been 4 1/2 years. I can only imagine once it\'s been 20...
Maybe MS is teaching us to put ourselves first for once--to stop trying to be savior to others and to just LIVE our lives? IDK but that\'s what I intend to do too! :)
