Mrs. Handywoman
Well, I guess I've got the juices flowing now, so I started tackling all those projects, I've put off for so long.
I fixed the doggy door, for the second time, I changed the toilet seat in my bathroom (had the seat for at least 6 months) I cleaned up the backyard some (haven't been back there in 2 weeks) and I started seriously scraping wallpaper off the bathroom walls. The last project will take a long time. I started it before Christmas, so it is well past due.
I still have to call about the dance lessons, their website said this week would be the 3rd lesson, so I'm not sure if you can start in the middle. The people that do this type of dancing, are friends of my husband's from work. One man had been trying to get us to go for years. My husband didn't like to do things during the week that we would be out late. It's called Jamician swing, it's kind of like the Jitter Bug, but everyone dances around the floor in a circle. We had been to a couple of the dances, and it really looks cool watching them. I've been told, it is real easy to learn.
I'll let you all know, how it goes.

Good going. It is amazing what we women can do when we have to. Hugs Phyl
\"I am Paula,Hear Me Roar\" It is hard doing all the chores, and YOU CAN DO IT! The dancing sounds great-wish I could join you!

I had to laugh at your (had the seat for 6 months). Sounds familiar. I had the guts for my toilet at least that long, but just kept turning the water on to flush it and off when it was done. Finally, got around to replacing those parts a couple of weeks ago. Worked good, but now it is leaking around the water intake!!! So I am turning it off and on again. Maybe in 6 more months I will put that new washer on. LOL.
I too got a chuckle out of the toilet seat due to the fact I just took down my shower doors and replaced it with a shower curtain. I had been trying to get it done for close to a year now so I figured what the heck, I suppose I ll do it myself! Now all I have to do is get the doors to the dumpster! One is sitting in the bathroom and one on the front porch; maybe another year! LOL
Good for you! It is all about moving forward.....Glad to hear you may start a dance class! Keep us posted!
Yeah!!!!! I can hardly wait to hear how the Jamaica swing goes. I have never heard of it. Go girl!
I got a few things done today. After griefshare the other night I forced myself to go to Wal Mart to get filters for the A/C. I got everything except the filters. Typical. This morning I took a couple of manuals to our mechanic. He had to work on a tractor like Dix. He always has to borrow. You can\'t get them anymore. On to breakfast with my SIL & then to Wal Mart to get those filters. Changed a lot of lightbulbs. It was getting dark around here. Thank God I did not remove covering.... Got 25X25X1 instead of 25X20X1. Did find the allen wrenches that I need to adjust the hinge on he door of the wood stove. I\'ll get it fixed before the next cold snap. Tomorrow I guess it is back to WM to exchange the filters. Then get Mom\'s pellet stove cleaned. Boy, Aren\'t we productive Hugs, Val
Great going Val, it feels good, to get things done, doesn\'t it?
Nice going, Paula - when those juices flow, go with them! Hmm, well, that sounded a mite strange, but you know what I mean. The dance classes sound like a lot of fun - I think I\'m envious, lol! Yes, it does feel good to get things done -
Enjoy the dancing Paula ~ sounds like fun! My husband did not like dancing at all. We used to joke I would take dance lessons if anything happened to him. And now it\'s on the list of things to do this year. Along with a long list of household projects to get completed. Feels good to get the juices flowing and things done. Rest well & keep your strength up.
