MRI Results, Next Steps and Prayers for my DS Sisters

Before I write this update, I have to give a shout out to Alana, Nelly and Roxy....my heart is heavy today and I send you all big hugs. I am so sad for your BFNs and I wish I could take this awful IF shit away from all of us.
My update really isn't that big of a deal, especially in light of the sadness on DS today. So I got the MRI results from my liver specialist yesterday, he confirmed my liver is all clear BUT they did find I have 2 moderate sized gallstones! WTF? I guess I'm not surprised since gallstones run in my family so I figured it was only a matter of time. I've been having some random stomach pains, so now I have to have an endoscopy this Friday morning to see what's going on. Doctor recommended I postpone IVF another month because he's concerned that if I have a gallbladder flareup, there's nothing they can do while I'm prego and also he mentioned that pregnancy can sometimes make gallstone pain or flareups worse. I told him its not really an option to postpone IVF, we've waited too long and with my age and possible insurance coverage ending, we have to move forward. He said there is a medication I could take to shrink the stones if worse came to worse during pregnancy. I hope and I think I made the right call here. I just cannot put this off anymore, we've already had too many setbacks. I woke up from a nightmare a few nights ago with this realization that I think subsconsciously I might be postponing the inevitable because I'm so very afraid IVF won't work and I cannot accept that I might never have a biological child of our own. I'm ready and need to move forward.
Again, prayers and hugs to my DS sisters today. xoxoxoxo

hi - I am excited for you to do IVF. I have published on the topic of gallstones and have a pretty solid background. There is always a chance that you could have symptoms- pain from them - but it\'s not that high. If you\'ve never had severe pain I recommend that you do not consider surgery at that time. So many of us walk around with gallstones and don\'t even know so when you have imaging and find out... you know? Obviously listen to your own doctor, but I say have a baby - go for it!!! IVF :)

I agree. Go for the IVF. I wouldn\'t want to postpone again either. I\'m sorry you are having nightmares about not having a child. I dreamt that I stole someones baby the other day. IF sucks the life out of us. So glad that your liver is ok though.

I\'m so glad you posted your news today. With all the bad we always need a little light, something going right for someone.
Love that Kelly is the type of doc that know about these things. I agree, you have put your IVF on hold to make sure things were good but now it\'s time to move foward. I know IVF scares you and I can understand why but you seem ready now.
I really hope you get your BFP, you have been through so much it\'s time for something great.
Hugs
