Mowing the lawn is killing me!

I use to love to cut my grass! Now it's just got to be done! This is one of the few things I don't like about my new house.  The weeds grow high and fast but the grass never grows more than a few inches.  Our yard front and back is bumpy, needs fill but the only dirt you can get around here is crappy! When it rains what doesn't wash away is like quick sand and when it dries it's like cement!  I told my husband to hold off on riding lawn mower because we don't have a shed to protect it and don't like the idea of putting on back patio with just a cover.  But it seems my age, the heat and the yard being so large ,bumpy and on an incline is going to kill me! : P

gosh it sounds like your newq house comes with a set of problems all dealing with the yard itself, I don\'t know how you can deal with it, it sounds like a big headache and pain in the butt :( is there anyone you can hire to give your yard a much needed makeover?

Yeah we could hire someone but don\'t want to! LOL! Still thinking of getting riding lawn mower but would like to have a fence and shed first. Husband wants to build the shed but may hire out for the fence.

I see alot of projects are in the beginning stages for the two of you, eventhough it\'s a big project at that, atleast it will give you both something to do together :)

Our gigantic yard is a major problem for me too. Then there is about 150 feet of privit hedge to keep trimed. Our yard isn\'t up or down hill but it is super bumpy since this awful drought we have been going through this summer. I do have a riding mower but there is still a lot of push mower work to be done too. I feel for ya! OA sure isn\'t for sissies that\'s for sure!!!
