Moving in?
My son and his fiancee had to ring the doorbell last night. Their hands were too full of her belongings to work the key. I panicked a bit. My husband and I had suspected this was coming and were fishing for a good moment to bring it up. This wasn't that moment. My husband is out of town and not available for a family conference. I believe hubby and I have been communicating well on the subject, but I still don't like speaking for him.
In the impromptu and incomplete family conference which followed, I did get it across that AssUmption does not make effective communication. In the future, let's talk about it first. Please expect another family conference to bring the absent member up to speed.
So far, we have thoroughly enjoyed the fiancee's presence in our home. This son has been living with us since his schizophrenic breakdown last summer. His fiancee has helped him return to the land of the living. She has been gentle and accepting with us. She pitches in to do her share around the house. What's not to love?

Good the fiancee is helping around the house, this day and age some of the generation of 20/30 somethins didn\'t grasp the clean up do your part concept. Trust me I am dealing with it.
AssUmption..that can be tricky as to not ruffle feathers and cause hard feelings. Hope it works out.
Family meeting , deff in order..you need to have a united front with your husband, and a clear outline of who will do what, and possible time limits on their stay.
