Moving Forward

I just finished filling out paperwork for my new job. Well, not so new. Same job, but new boss and more hours. It's all good! Also got a call from my new landlord.  The 2-bedroom apartment I found is ready to move into. Got to find an a.c. unit first and make arrangements for utility transfers. Then plans to move my stuff, set things up, decorate. I don't even know what my style is. But there is a storm on the way over the weekend. With everything else going on in my life (new job, new place, a pending divorce, hubby coming into town), I have to see what this storm may or may not bring. And you can't get anything done over a holiday. I'm so excited and terrified all at the same time. Please say a prayer for us down here in Louisiana that this Hurricane Gustav doesn't devastate us like Katrina did back in 2005. I do hope all my friends out there are doing well. I miss being on my own pc., but hopefully I'll be back in action by the end of September. Then September 5 is my birthday and October 4 is my sobriety birthday. I'll be 8 years clean and sober from alcohol. And I'll be 44 years old and on my own for the first time in my life. Scary! But I have more faith in God than ever and I know I'll be alright. One day at a time, sometimes less. Hope you all have a very loved and blessed day. Love, Mona
