Moving Day!

I didn't sleep well last night, knowing it was my last night at the homestead. I woke up depressed this morning. Jeff and I are leaving our home, the home we created together over the last 13 years. In many ways, I grew up here. i finally learned how to be an adult while living here. This has been our house, our land, our trees, our blackberry patch, our gravevine, our healing herbs, our crops, our peonies, our lilies, our composter, our rain barrel... We spent so long building this... *sigh*

I am moving... and I am in mourning...

It's always difficult to leave memories, try to think of the new ones you'll be creating. I hope the move is for a positive reason.

Thank you so much, briggy! I am trying... it's just that today is tough. Part of me is super excited for the homestead we will build once we finally get this place sold and purchase a property in Atlanta... but we've just really loved it here.

Today is rough, yes for sure. Let yourself feel the pain, sadness and memories. Don't try to force yourself to feel positive about it just yet - let the sorrow come through, have a good cry and then go from there. Nothing wrong with letting the rain fall before the shining sun comes out.
HUGS hugs on such a difficult day.......

Oh, almost forgot to mention... we are moving because Jeff's job is being relocated to Atlanta and he wants to continue on with his current career, at his current company. I fully support that... it's just bittersweet...

UPDATE: We got a good offer on the homestead today and go under contract tomorrow. If all goes well with the inspection, then we will close on 5/18.
